Capgemini launches second office in Singapore as business grows in Southeast Asia

Second office in Singapore aims to serve clients better as Capgemini expands its services in the region.



Singapore, 7 December 2017 — Capgemini, a global leader in consulting, technology and outsourcing services, today announced the opening of its second office located at Plaza 8, Changi Business Park. This comes after the launch of Capgemini’s Applied Innovation Exchange (AIE) in February this year, demonstrating its growth in Southeast Asia.

A ceremony was held to officiate the opening, with Guests-of-Honour His Excellency Marc Abensour, Ambassador of France to Singapore and Mr Patrick Tay, Member of Parliament, gracing the event. The second office is a delivery centre designed to support some of Capgemini’s key clients in Singapore, as Capgemini continues to deepen existing relationships and commits to growing new ones.


As of October 2014 to September 2017, Capgemini has increased four-fold, from a headcount of 78 to approximately 300 currently. The centre is a key commitment by Capgemini to show its growth and expansion plans in Singapore, which includes increasing its Singaporean work force and strengthening its Singaporean core.


“Singapore has a distinct position in Southeast Asia. The opening of this delivery centre, along with our Applied Innovation Exchange, the only AIE in the region, serves to drive  invention and service delivery forward to better cater to the needs of existing clients. The longer term goal would of course be to deepen relationships with new clients and groom local talent to be part of Capgemini’s expansion plans,” said Shinichi Tonomura, Managing Director, Financial Services, Asia, Middle East & Japan, Capgemini.


According to Gaurav Modi, Managing Director, Non-Financial Services, Southeast Asia, Capgemini, “Singapore has continued to grow for us and has become a focal point of multiple initiatives across the region. As the clients in Singapore and Southeast Asia move towards their digital transformation jouney, our new delivery centre will ensure proximity of our people, processes and assets to our clients.”


Capgemini’s growth in this region coincides with Capgemini’s Global 50th Anniversary.
