We are pleased to welcome three talented speakers from Google, Gemalto and Lunabee to bring you on the road to innovation. Through various perspectives, from MNCs to Start-ups, this talk will give you the keys to boost your innovation.


Jared Smith, Head of Global Agencies, Asia Pacific at Google will discuss some of the processes and principles in place at Google to make sure that the company doesn't get bogged down in the past as it keeps moving forward.


Siddharth Singhal, Strategic Marketing Analyst (CITO Office), Gemalto will share a few of the "recipes" that Gemalto has designed to promote innovation as a core culture in the organization.


Olivier Berni, co-founder of Lunabee Pte Ltd, will share his views on how a start-up deals with innovation. Or, more precisely, what is innovation in a small company, with small resources? How is it possible to develop an innovative environment within this small company? What has been set up to encourage innovation, what worked and what didn't?

About the Speakers:

  • Mr Jared Smith, Head of Global Agencies, Asia Pacific, Google Inc.

Jared is the Head of Global Agencies for Asia Pacific at Google.

He is responsible for driving digital adoption and partnerships with key advertising agency partners and large global advertisers in the Asia Pacific region and brings more than fifteen years of global & regional advertising, e-Commerce, technology, and sales experience in both traditional and digital media.  Jared joined Google in May, 2006.

Previously, Jared held sales positions in New York City at CBS Radio (Infinity Broadcasting) and in enterprise e-Commerce technology sales at InterWorld Corporation. 

Jared is based in Singapore and holds an MBA from New York University and BA in Economics from the University of Vermont where he also minored in French. 


  • Mr Siddharth Singhal, Strategic Marketing Analyst (CITO Office), Gemalto

Siddharth is based in Singapore (one of the largest manufacturing and R&D hub of the group) and responsible for driving innovation and incubation in Asia for Gemalto. After doing 2 startups in embedded systems and robotics, winning several international accolades but limiting in scaling-up, Siddharth moved to Singapore and joined Gemalto R&D, here he has worked on payment products, advanced projects and revamped incubation processes. Now, Siddharth has been running the corporate incubator inside the large corporation and  the initiatives around it, in Gemalto. Siddharth holds an Bachelor of Engineering from Delhi University, India.


  • Mr Olivier Berni, Director, Marketing & Communication, Lunabee

After graduating from a French IT Engineering school, Olivier started his career as an entrepreneur in 2003, building a lightweight, web based and open source ERP solution for SME. 4 years later, he came to Singapore to start working in a bigger software company, leading regulatory capital compliance software for banks. In 2009, this company has been acquired by Moody's (the american rating agency), where Olivier stayed for 2 more years as a manager of an R&D team, as project manager and finally as pre-sales consultant.

In 2011, after having gain experience from different sizes of companies and positions, he decided to go back to entrepreneurship, founding Lunabee Pte Ltd where he's mostly involved in product management, design, communication and marketing. Since the beginning, Lunabee Pte Ltd has released several mobile applications, including oneSafe: a very successful iOS, Mac OS and Android "password manager" application.
